HALLELUJAH CHALLENGE DAY 21

Oct 25, 2026 · Pastor Nathaniel Bassey

Summary

Psalm 100 sets the tone, “Come before his presence with singing,” and Isaiah 30:29 adds, “You shall have a song in the night.” So we welcome Almighty God, the Spirit of grace and truth, and we come the way He told us to come, with a song that honors His presence and lifts our eyes to His majesty. Praise becomes more than music here, it becomes warfare. Like 2 Chronicles 20, singers go first, because rejoicing shifts the atmosphere and reminds our hearts that “the battle belongs to God.” And in the middle of the songs comes a quiet, steady call to spiritual discipline: showing up. The life of the Spirit is the life of staying power, the choice to appear before God even when the body says no, because champions are formed in the simple obedience of returning again. Then the theme rises like a banner: “The Lord reigns.” “The Lord reigneth, let the earth rejoice” (Psalm 97:1), and “Let the heavens rejoice… and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth” (1 Chronicles 16:31). We prophesy over nations, not just over ourselves, lifting the gates for the gospel and declaring that Jesus is alive, reigning, and coming in glory. But the heart turns inward too, as Psalm 78:40 to 42 warns that Israel “limited the Holy One of Israel” because “they did not remember his power,” and thanksgiving becomes the pathway back into faith. From that place, faith finds words: “I have said it, I have called Cyrus… and will help him succeed” (Isaiah 48:15), so we put our names in the promise and ask for help on the errands of destiny. We decree rejoicing and gladness that will end in congratulations, we declare “Not one of us is missing” (Numbers 31:49), and we ask for an early Christmas gift, trusting the God who reigns over health, family, doors, and provision. Father, we welcome You, Lord Jesus, and sweet Holy Spirit. Keep us from limiting You by forgetfulness, teach us to remember Your power and recount Your goodness until faith rises again. Let Your gospel flood the nations, let Your fear rest on us with joy, and help us succeed in every assignment You have sent us on, in Jesus’ name, amen.

This week

  • Spend 5 minutes recounting God’s goodness in specific details before you bring any request to Him, using Psalm 78:42 as your reminder to “remember his power.”
  • Pray for the nations by name, asking God to “lift up the gates” for the gospel and for Jesus to be known as Lord who reigns (1 Chronicles 16:31).
  • Personalize Isaiah 48:15 by inserting your name and one clear assignment you sense God has given you, then ask Him plainly, “Help me succeed.”
